Our Values
Continuous Innovation Excellent Customer Service Consistent & Timely Advice Improving Health
Chemist On Call is proud of its reputation in continuous product innovation. Launching the first online single medication checking service in 2004 and offering the only round-the-clock pharmacist advice, Chemist On Call has supported the rail and engineering sectors in achieving improvements in health and safety. In 2010, the launch of a new website brings even greater innovations, with single and multi-medications checked, client real-time reporting and 24 hour email and faxing service.
Our excellent customer service is demonstrated in every call, answered quickly and politely, guiding employees through a series of important questions. Our healthcare co-ordinators ensure that the pharmacists’ health and safety advice is explained in full, taking time to confirm understanding and advising what steps the employee or line manager should take in order to adhere to the advice.
With a KPI of under one hour from the call or website check, Chemist On Call achieves consistent and timely advice for over 99% of calls, every month. The calls that take longer tend to be where the individual has not got the complete list of medications, has mis-spelt medications or given details of unlicensed medications where further research is required. Our pharmacists are skilled at advising on all prescription, over-the-counter, herbal, sports, Chinese and overseas purchased medication.
Whilst safety is our primary focus, the pharmacists assess every medication check on a health and wellbeing basis too. Improving health is a key aim of our business, and this is achieved through many routes; advising of more appropriate medication to treat a condition without causing side effects, referring individuals to occupational health where they have a new condition that requires more regular monitoring, preventing possible overdose and ensuring that medication taken in combination does not impact the individual due to contra-indications, e.g. certain medications can impact the effectiveness of anti-biotics.
